Wright State University students returning from Spring Break were greeted with huge window graphics across campus promoting “Take 5.”
So what’s “Take 5”?
Wright State will change from quarters to semesters in Fall 2012. Taking five classes (or 15 hours) per semester will be the new average for students who want to earn a bachelor’s degree in four years or an associate degree in two. Many students may be used to taking four classes on the quarter system.
Taking five classes is important for students to know as they choose their Fall semester classes and create a MAP (My Advising Plan). These map out the courses students need in order to complete their degree in semesters.
The edgy campaign reminds students to meet with their academic advisor now to make sure they’re prepared for the semester conversion.
