Wright State University Career Services will offer its Employer Speaker Series during the spring semester, highlighting opportunities in both health care and business. The series will feature speakers and recruiters from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Amazon, the Cleveland Clinic and the Dayton VA Medical Center.
All speaker presentations will be held from 11 a.m. to noon. Each speaker will share information about their organization, what types of positions are available and how to apply for those positions. After the presentations, students will have the opportunity to meet with recruiters from noon to 2 p.m.
Refreshments will be served, compliments of the employers. There will also be a raffle drawing at each event. For more information or to register, visit Handshake. Registration is not required to attend.
The first speaker in the series is Kyle P. Boehmer, procurement analyst, lead recruiter, at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, on Wednesday, Feb. 1, in the Pathfinder Lounge in the Student Union. To view the various positions available, visit USA Jobs.
Derick T. Logan, workforce staffing engagement specialist with Amazon, will give a presentation on Wednesday, Feb. 22, in the Student Union Atrium. Available positions can be viewed on Amazon’s job or internship webpages.
Zack Nichols, university and higher education relationship manager with the Cleveland Clinic, will give a virtual presentation on Wednesday, March 8. Virtual breakout rooms will be available to meet with recruiters individually. The Cleveland Clinic offers nursing internships, nursing positions for graduates and other career opportunities.
The final speaker in the series is Elizabeth L. Eickman, nurse recruiter, staffing/recruitment, from the Dayton VA Medical Center, on Wednesday, March 29, in the Pathfinder Lounge in the Student Union. The VA offers career opportunities for nurses, training opportunities for students and other career opportunities.
