Emily Momohara, a visual artist whose film “Namba” will be screened at Wright State University on Sept. 18, was interviewed on “ArtsFocus” on WDPR Discover Classical.
Wright State’s School of Fine and Performing Arts and the Asian and Native American will screen “Namba” on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 4 p.m. in 280 Creative Arts Center. A reception will follow in the Robert and Elaine Stein Galleries, 160 Creative Arts Center.
Four of Momohara’s photographs are also featured in “ReWritten: Photographers Reshaping the Narrative” in the Stein Galleries through Nov. 2.
Momohara is the interim studio arts chair, professor and head of the photography major at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. Her work centers around issues of heritage, multiculturalism, immigration and social justice.
