2025 Alumni Achievement Awards celebrate distinguished Wright State community members

The Wright State University Alumni Association announced the recipients of its 2025 Alumni Achievement Awards, recognizing and celebrating the accomplishments of Wright State University alumni and friends.

Recipients were selected from a pool of more than 120,000 Wright State alumni and are recognized for numerous accomplishments in their chosen fields. In addition to possessing high standards of integrity and character, they have given their time and talent to benefit Wright State and its Alumni Association.

The following recipients were honored:

Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award: Nicholas Bambakidis ’93

Alumnus of the Year Award: Scott W. Bauer ’04, ’05

Graduate of the Last Decade Award: Christina Hale ’17

Tony Alexander Volunteer Service Award: Christopher Moyer ’85, ’86

Honorary Alumnus Award: Jonas “Joe” Gruenberg

Boonshoft School of Medicine: Julianne Nesbit ’05

College of Engineering and Computer Science: Michael Bennett ’90, ’95

College of Health, Education and Human Services: Emily Morgan ’95

College of Liberal Arts: Morgan O’Brien ’07

College of Science and Mathematics: Amina Pollard ’97

College of Graduate Programs and Honors Studies: Lindsay T. Aitchison ’11

Raj Soin College of Business: Joseph Jessup ’98

Recipients will be celebrated and receive their awards in February at a banquet during Wright State University’s Homecoming festivities. Homecoming will take place Feb. 5–8.
