The Western Ohio Educational Foundation (WOEF) Board hosted its annual scholarship breakfast at Wright State University–Lake Campus on June 2, welcoming more than 100 guests to celebrate the impact of scholarship support for Lake Campus students.
Thirty-eight scholarship recipients were recognized at this year’s event, representing both current students and incoming students who will begin their academic journeys at Lake Campus this fall. The event also highlighted donors and the WOEF Board, whose support makes these scholarships possible.
For more than 50 years, WOEF has been a key philanthropic partner of Wright State University–Lake Campus, providing financial support for student scholarships, academic programs, campus initiatives and other opportunities that enhance the student experience.
Through its scholarship programs, WOEF awards more than $200,000 annually to Lake Campus students to help reduce financial barriers for students pursuing higher education. These scholarships are available to recent high school graduates, transfer students, returning students and current Lake Campus students.
Beyond recognizing scholarship recipients, the event provided students and their families with a meaningful opportunity to celebrate academic achievement and connect with the donors and supporters whose generosity helps make a Lake Campus education possible.
“The scholarship breakfast is one of our favorite annual traditions because it brings together students, families, donors and community members to celebrate student achievement,” said Andrea Faber, Ph.D., vice provost and chief administrative officer of Lake Campus. “It serves as a powerful reminder that when we invest in education, we invest in the future of our communities.”
By bringing together scholarship recipients and their families, donors, faculty, staff and community members, the annual breakfast celebrates the partnerships that help create opportunities at Lake Campus. Their collective support empowers students to pursue their educational goals and make meaningful contributions throughout the region and beyond.
