Julian Gomez-Cambronero, Ph.D., professor of biochemistry and molecular biology at the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, has been named the Brage Golding Distinguished Professor of Research, the university announced.
Named after Wright State’s first president, the award recognizes outstanding research by a Wright State faculty member.
Cambronero and his research team have discovered a key protein that plays a critical role in the development of breast cancer tumors and the spread of the disease to the nearby lungs.
