Celebrated at Wright State University since 1993, Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day invited faculty and staff to bring their daughters, sons, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and other special children to campus on April 3.
Children attended sessions that explored careers in the sciences, business, technology, arts and other fields during the event.
Each year more than 200 mentors and children participate in this event, which is coordinated by the Women’s Center with support from campus units, colleges and divisions.
- 4 Paws WSU student trainer Josh Frees and service dog Tweet got lots of attention.
- Rowdy Raider showed kids how to have fun at work.
- Wright State Police Sgt. Richard Coy talked about his work as a police officer and volunteer firefighter in Washington Court House.
- (L–R) Madalyn Jazek, Ron Applegate, Recycleman and Daniel Monaghan gave a presentation on Wright State Recyclemania.
- Dominic Stevens was happy to spend the day with his grandmother Jackie Stevens.
- Annabella Boley (left) was among the many children and adults who enjoyed dressing up cupcakes with swirls, roses and sprinkles.
- Children learned how to get fit with yoga.
