Steven R. Lindheim is a reproductive endocrinologist with Wright State Physicians Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Wright State Physicians Obstetrics & Gynecology will offer an educational session about polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) on Thursday, Sept. 1, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., in classroom 1 on the second floor of the Wright State Physicians Health Center, 725 University Blvd., on the campus of Wright State University. The session is free and open to the public.
The speaker is Steven R. Lindheim, M.D., director of the Wright State Physicians Obstetrics and Gynecology Fertility Program. He is a reproductive endocrinologist who is known nationally and internationally for his expertise in infertility, in-vitro fertilization, third-party reproduction, oncofertility, cryopreservation, bioethics and minimally invasive surgery. Lindheim also is a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine.
Lindheim will lead a discussion about PCOS, a condition in which a woman’s hormones are imbalanced. This can cause problems with a woman’s menstrual periods, hair growth, acne and weight gain. It can lead to fertility issues or repeated miscarriages. He also will discuss the short and lifelong problems related to PCOS, including its diagnosis and its potential impact on fertility.
Because space is limited to 40 people, registration is required. To register for the session, contact Cynthia Vaughan at cynthia.vaughan@wspi.org or 937-208-2212.
