Students from around the world could be found on Wright State University’s campus last week singing their hearts out during Camp A Cappella.
Camp A Cappella helps collegiate and high school students, adults and professionals develop and further their singing skills.
This year’s camp attracted 325 participants, including campers from France, Luxembourg, Canada, Australia, Taiwan and United Kingdom.
Brody McDonald, who teaches music at Wright State and directs the student a cappella ensemble ETHOS, is one of the founders of the camp.
“Everybody from every part of the globe can come no matter what their ability level,” said McDonald, who also is director of choirs at Kettering Fairmont High School.
The camp concluded June 29 with a concert featuring all 325 campers performing in the Student Union Apollo Room.
