An Appalachian State administrator has been selected as the next provost of Wright State University.
Susan Edwards, vice provost for faculty affairs at the North Carolina-based university, was named to the position Thursday. In addition to her role as provost, which is considered one of the top jobs at the university level, Edwards will serve as vice president of academic affairs.
She succeeds Thomas Sudkamp, who has served as provost since 2015. Edwards will join WSU on July 30.
“Dr. Edwards’ experience as a teacher, researcher and administrator; her leadership skills; and her personal commitment to student success make her the perfect leader to join our university at this time,” said Wright State President Cheryl Schrader.
