Residents of Jefferson Township can get free health screenings, including blood pressure and blood sugar, at the Jefferson Township Community Health Fair on Saturday, Jan. 31, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Jefferson Township Administrative Office, One Business Park Way.
Reach Out of Montgomery County and the Jefferson Township Board of Trustees are sponsoring the health fair.
Reach Out of Montgomery County, a nonprofit organization founded by Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, Public Health—Dayton & Montgomery County and the Montgomery County Medical Society, provides health care services, including prescription assistance, to the underserved and medically uninsured population in Montgomery County. Reach Out is staffed by volunteer physicians, nurses and other health care professionals.
At the health fair, Jefferson Township residents will have an opportunity to learn more about CareSource, Five Rivers Health Centers, Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley, Jefferson Township Local Schools, Molina Medicaid Solutions, Premier Health Partners and Public Health—Dayton & Montgomery County. A CareFlight helicopter also will be at the health fair. In addition, local vendors and businesses will be showcased.
The free event includes snacks and drinks. Attendees can wear any sports team shirt or a Jefferson Bronco shirt for a free raffle ticket to be entered to win a door prize.
