The Slate Committee is the recipient of the 2023 Outstanding Collaborative Units Award for its work on launching the Slate customer relationship management platform.

The Slate Committee is made up of staff members from the Division of Enrollment Management, including Undergraduate Admissions, the University Center for International Education and the offices of Marketing, the Registrar and Financial Aid; College of Graduate Programs and Honors recruitment; Computing and Telecommunications Services; and the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness.

“Through my role as project manager for the Slate implementation for recruitment and admissions, I have enjoyed a front-row seat to the extraordinary collaborative efforts of dozens of staff across these units over three months of comprehensive business process analysis followed by an intensive five-month development phase,” said Nova Lasky, director of organizational planning and project management. “These units have spent countless hours working together and engaging stakeholders to identify opportunities to enhance the user experience for students and parents while empowering our internal teams with intuitive tools to streamline their workflows.”

Those efforts produced numerous benefits, including an intuitive, user-friendly interface, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience; a redesigned application and improved integration with Common App, providing a streamlined application process, which reduces unnecessary paperwork and delays; a sophisticated communication module that enables personalized interactions with students and parents; state-of-the-art document management tools, allowing internal teams to effortlessly handle and review application materials; and advanced analytics and reporting capabilities, empowering administrators and decision-makers with real-time insights.
