Kathy Kuntz, office services coordinator in Wright State University’s Office of Alumni Relations, received a 2023 President’s Award for Excellence in Human Relations.
Kuntz has great relationships with many people and entities in the Wright State community.
“Kathy is known by everyone around Wright State and is universally loved,” Greg Scharer, executive director of alumni relations. “When I introduce myself to anyone on campus, their first response to me is to tell me how much they love Kathy.”
Kuntz’s approach to customer service both internally and externally is excellent. As the first person who many alumni, donors and graduating students contact at Wright State, Kuntz prides herself on giving a great first impression.
And as the person who answers the main phone line and general email account of the Office of Alumni Relations, she receives all kinds of inquiries, many not related to her job or the Office of Alumni Relations, but she still goes the extra mile to find an answer or the appropriate person to help.
She is also a wealth of information and history about Wright State and usually knows the answer to almost any question when others in the Office of Alumni Relations are stumped.
