If you take a walk around the Dayton Campus, you will find colorful lights, beautiful plants and a lot of laughter and smiles.
Wright State University has been transformed into a festive destination for students, faculty and staff to celebrate the holidays.
Colorful lights, garland, poinsettias and nutcracker banners are scattered around the Student Union along with creatively decorated entryways of numerous offices and clubs.
“It’s a very exciting time on campus,” said Debra Radford, organizational resources director, who helped decorate a Christmas tree with bows in the Student Union Atrium.
Raj Soin College of Business students held a cookie and holiday craft night, complete with a log fire projected on a classroom Smartboard.
“We are making Christmas stockings, holiday cards, having chips and cookies and just having a nice time together,” said Shyla Koons, a senior majoring in international business.
Almost two dozen offices across campus showed off their creativity and craft skills in the annual Door Decorating Contest. Judging took place over two days with Research and Sponsored Programs’ Lab Animal Resources taking first place, the Culture and Identity Centers in second, and Shipping and Receiving taking third place.
