Wright State University’s “Calamityville” site has lured a California defense contractor to the area.
Cubic Defense Applications, the defense systems business of Cubic Corp., has opened an office in Beavercreek to pursue business at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the company said Monday.
Cubic recently received a two-year contract to deliver live training services at the National Center for Medical Readiness, also called “Calamityville.” Instruments supplied by Cubic will strengthen the ability to track personnel and vehicles during live training exercises, the company said in a statement.
Cubic is providing the new equipment with the Alliance for Human Effectiveness and Advancement (AHEAD), an industry consortium led by the Wright State Research Institute, the company said.
