Kim Demmings set the all-time career scoring record in Horizon League women’s basketball history Jan. 21 at the Wright State Nutter Center during the women’s basketball team’s 82-60 loss to Milwaukee.
Demmings tied the record with her 2,340-career point, a three from the left wing at the 7:34 mark of the fourth quarter and then became the all-time scoring leader with a pull-up jumper in the lane with 5:99 remaining.
The senior guard finished with 25 points, giving her 2,345 for her career, ahead of Milwaukee’s Traci Edwards, who set the previous mark from 2005-09.
Demmings became the all-time leading scorer in Wright State basketball history on Jan. 16, surpassing Bill Edwards, who scored 2,303 points from 1989-93.
Wright State (15-4 overall, 5-1 in the Horizon League) host league-leading Green Bay (16-2, 6-0 Horizon) Jan. 23 at 2 p.m.
