Wright State University presents Meredith Willson’s classic 1957 Tony Award-winning musical “The Music Man” beginning Thursday, March 17, in the Festival Playhouse.
Willson’s incredibly tuneful slice of Americana is set in River City, Iowa, circa 1912. As Hill changes Marian’s outlook on life, River City undergoes an engaging evolution of its own from bickering school board members to a gaggle of gossipy busybodies.
