On Thursday, Sept. 15, the University Honors Program will present “9/11: Ten Years Later” at 3 p.m. in the Millett Hall Atrium.
This event will feature a panel of three political science faculty members who will discuss the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks, as well as the war on terror and its impact on American life and politics.
Donna Schlagheck will speak on what the United States could do to improve its response in the event of future terrorist actions. Vaughn Shannon will cover the Middle East response to 9/11, and Paul Leonard will discuss the U.S.A. Patriot Act.
The panel presentation is designated as an Honors Dialogue event. First-year honors students are required to attend at least one Honors Dialogue during the year.
