Bryan McLean, a lead worker in Custodial Services, received a 2023 President’s Award for Excellence in Service.
McLean, who has worked at Wright State for more than 20 years, exemplifies excellent leadership and service abilities through his productivity and never-failing positive attitude.
He always responds quickly and without hesitation to any task, regardless of the timeline. And if he is unable to complete the work himself, he always makes sure to find someone who can.
Much is asked of Wright State’s custodians, who take care of all areas of the Dayton and Lake campuses with limited staffing. McLean never complains about how busy he is or how many directions he is pulled in.
“This is a rare quality and one that is much appreciated,” said Kathy Warden, manager of university spaces and special projects.
