Wright State Newsroom’s most-viewed stories of 2016

Tom Hanks’ visit to Wright State last April was one of the year’s highlights, so it’s no surprise that Wright State Newsroom visitors had a voracious appetite for content about the famous actor.

Articles about Hanks — who was on campus to dedicate the Tom Hanks Center for Motion Pictures — were the most viewed of all the Newsroom content produced during 2016. And Wright State videos about Hanks, including his shout out to the university on the “Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” were the most viewed during the year on Wright State’s YouTube channel.

Visitors also flocked to stories about student Emily Bingham’s appearance on “Jeopardy!,” the university’s commencement ceremonies and the Boonshoft School of Medicine’s Match Day event.
